Picture This!

Let's face it, many of us consider ourselves to be proficient picture takers these days.  Thanks to technology we can automatically erase a pic and take a better one.  Even phone cameras can detect when you need a flash and have auto focus.  Thanks to photo editing software we can erase blemishes (or an ex), red eye, center the pic and even make us 20lbs lighter!

But there is nothing like the skilled craft-woman and talent of a true photographer.  Instead of taking a picture to tweak and fix they capture the right lighting, form and setting to result in a perfect picture.

Laura Herr Photography is a photo artist located on Long Island New York and captures people's greatest and happiest moments  from weddings, births and every day happy moments.   I was lucky enough to be able to be affiliated with her and she took a few pictures of my favorite summer candles.  Making these candles was fun but now that she took pictures of them they look stunning (if I do say so myself)!  You must check out her website and blog with happy pics of people I want to know and places I want to be.  That's the feeling her pictures evoke.

Scent of Month - Summer Sorbet

It's hot!  This past June was recorded as one of the top four hottest June's for New York since recorded history.   We've gotten some relief these past couple of days and it's about to turn into a week-long heat wave of 90+ for the holiday week.
What better way to cool off than the sitting back with a bowl to cool fruity refreshing sorbet.  The thought of it just makes my mouth water!  This scent is amazing and worthy of scent of the month for July.  Available in many of our bath and body products as well as candle styles.  See our custom candle design for this scent on Etsy.

Summer Treats

One might not think to much of candles during the summer season but we are more than a candle company. Check out these 3 summer treats I make for the season.

I love flowers and Dahlias are beautiful flowers to replicate into candles. These are a nice accent for a garden party in a bowl, your pool or pond.

Pina Colada Body Parfait. A light scrumptious moisturizer is a perfect beach accessory.  The aloe soothes as the cream moisturizes.

 

Cucumber-Melon is a longtime favorite summer scent we used in this soap bar that will have you bathing for hours.
