Let's Make some Butter!!
Ashy season is upon us so it's time to make some Whipped Body Butter. I actually use this all year around because a former coworker use to laugh at someone at work who wore strappy heels no matter what season and her heels were always ashy. Needles to say even if my toes aren't freshly polished I de-ash before putting on my flip flops.
Shea Butter and Coco Butter. The Coco Butter is s a bit harder.
I like to make my butters in small batches to guarantee freshness. I melt it on a very low with some of my favorite oils sweet almond oil, macadamia nut oil, jojoba oil. If I'm making my own personal batch I may switch up the oils to sunflower oil, olive oil, medowfoam seed oil.
Once melted I let it cool and then add the other ingredients. Now it's time to whip it good!
It starts looking creamy depending on how cool it is about 15 minutes after I "whip it good"
Voila! After a while it stiffens up and starts looking like vanilla ice cream
Now it's ready to ship. However this batch is going to mom.
This batch was Fig & Sweet Almond and Bajan Blue Waters. We make our whipped body butter in 7 fragrances (and of course unscented). We also make samples. Don't forget to pick up some for those heels and elbow.
